Mentoring

MinEx mentoring scheme

What’s mentoring all about?
If you would like support, tips or a helping hand to get your CoC, you might like to have a mentor. A mentor will help you keep on track with your training, help you prepare for your oral exam – whatever it is you need. And because all our MinEx mentors hold current CoC qualifications they’ve been there, done that – so understand the challenges – and how to overcome them.

Where does mentoring happen?
You can get mentoring at a time and location that works for you. We just put you in touch with a mentor in your area and you take it from there. MinEx has mentors all over New Zealand ready and willing to help people like you succeed.

Is there a cost?
There is no cost involved. We just put you in touch with a mentor and you both confirm what works.

How successful is having a mentor?
The pass rate of people who have teamed up with a MinEx mentor is very high and a credit to both parties. There really is everything to gain and nothing to lose.

If you would like to be put in touch with a MinEx mentor, email office@minex.org.nz today.

How to become a MinEx mentor
If you hold a CoC and would be prepared to help others prepare for their oral exam, please contact office@minex.org.nz. We will supply you with a Mentor Pack to get you  started and will contact you before giving your contacts to any potential CoC applicant. Current mentors have really enjoyed giving back to the industry through helping others and seeing them succeed.
